![]() ![]() ![]() THE GREAT CANADIAN COMICS has a splash page from a Polka-Dot Pirate story, although not the whole story. This one shows Polka-Dot swinging on a rope abouve the sea. She has Black Canary's boots, a nice pair of bare gams, shorts (or it could be a very short skirt), a polka-dot sash encircling her waist, a bare midrift, a a dark top with light puffy (Red Bee style) polka-dot sleeves, a dark domino mask, blonde page-boy style hair, and a polka-dot cape. From the little provided on the splash I gather she's a vigilante working with the harbour police, and she has a thing for one of the harbour cops, Russ Somers. In her ordinary identity she's Lynne (who I imagine Russ doesn't even notice). The credit for the story is "Ross Meiides" (sp? the signature is a bit misleading). Published in Dime Comics by Bell (which seems to have been the Canadian version of Fiction House, what with its adventure heroes and good girl art). IP: Logged |
